Uniform Law 10th anniversary

The Legal Services Council were delighted to celebrated 10 years of the Legal Profession Uniform Law Scheme at our event in Melbourne on 15 July 2025.

It was an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the Legal Profession Uniform Law Scheme over the last 10 years, and focus on the vision for the future.

The Honourable Michael Black AC KC FAAL, inaugural Chair of the Legal Services Council was a guest speaker.  We had attendees from across the country, including past and present Chairs, CEO’s, Council members, local regulatory authorities, and peak bodies representing the legal profession.

Speakers at the event also discussed the profound transformation that the legal profession has undergone over the last 10 years, and how the Scheme can adapt to this.  These changes have been shaped by global events, technological innovation and a growing commitment to wellbeing and equality.
